“ Sol's Hog Dogs is a staple. I don't know their historical background BUT they really have been around forever!! The location in Norwood is what I remember growing up. I had been trying to get my hands on some Sol's since before Easter. Unfortunately, they don't answer their phones. So annoying! The day I visited for lunch, it was packed. I placed my order at the counter and they call out your order when it's ready. This could cause some confusion. What if multiple people ordered the same thing?! I had no issue with my order but there's definitely a more effective way...... My 2 hotdogs (well done) all the way were fantastic!!. Fries were just okay. Skinny and borderline greasy. I still ate them all up! lol Next time I will dine in instead of eating in the car. Highly recommend. You are certain to take in the rich history they have created within the walls of Sol's hotdogs! ”

“ I went out for lunch to Sol's Hot Dogs as my friend has been recommending me for the last two semesters. Before this, I only tried hot dogs once about seven years ago and the experience was so bad that I never touched it again until yesterday. I had the chili dog with cheese, onions, mustard, and ketchup. When I took my first bite, I was so amazed that I bought one more to eat later in the day. The hot dog bun was a little cold but it got even with the sizzling hot sausage and caramelized onions. It was take-out only so it was a bummer for us but we ate it in our car. Apart from that everything seemed to be clean and tasty with lots of flavors. ”

Have been going for years and it's still as good as it was when I was a kid. Friendly staff, very clean and great atmosphere! I really enjoyed looking at all of the photos on the walls. “ It was my first time eating from Sol's 3002 12th Ave N. Birmingham 35234. My husband ordered me a Steak Philly all way with fries. The Philly was very very very very greasy along with the bread, the steak tasted old & the fries tasted like they were cooked in extremely old grease. I threw the food away and continued to smell the grease in the garbage. If I wanted clogged arteries (NOT), I would definitely eat the food. Terrible first impression literally!!!!! ”
